Special Announcement

June 18, 2003

As you will see from the article below, I am moving to Annapolis, MD in the next few days. In the future, I will attempt to do a couple articles a month for newswithviews.com and after they are posted to that site, my web master will then post them here.

I would like to thank everyone for your loyal support and readership over the past five years. I also hope you will support my new responsibilities as Executive Director for WTP Congress and become a member.

We anticipate the office out in Annapolis will open on May 30th and I will have my web master post my new e-mail, mailing address and phone number shortly after I get out there. Please do not e-mail me at [email protected] or [email protected] after June 19, 2003.

Please do get my CD as it contains 900 files from this site, the Vivien Kellems trial and FBI files, as well as the police investigation into Dr. Don Wiley's death. A true treasure of information and facts on issues like the IRS:

Also, if you don't own gold, I hope you'll consider speaking with Harvey Gordin at El Dorado Gold. You'll receive a complimentary copy of my Bankrupt America booklet and a no pressure education on why gold is your only hedge against our empty money system.

It's a long drive to Annapolis, so I'll close. I need my Jeep Cherokee out there and I'm taking my two dogs, so this next week should be a real adventure! God bless you and yours,

Devvy

Why Does It Have to Be You?

Recently I had to inform my family that I would be moving to Annapolis, MD to become the Executive Director for We the People Congress. Since 1999, Bob Schulz, Chairman of We the People Foundation in NY, has worked tirelessly trying to get our servant government to answer reasonable legal questions about the income tax system and related issues.

It is our right to have answers. Our Founding Fathers set up this Republic "of the people, by the people and for the people." Not for the politicians, non-governmental agencies, compromised federal judges or foreign interests.

To date, the federal government has steadfastly refused to respond in any way. The silence has become deafening. We the People Foundation is the educational organization that to date, has been responsible for getting the truth of the law as it's written, to the American people via seminars, events in Washington, DC and full page ads in publications like USA Today. What Bob Schulz has done is unprecedented and it's cost a king's ransom to date.

We the People Congress became active last year for an event in Washington, DC on November14, 2002. WTPC already has hundreds of county coordinators and state coordinators in almost  all the states of the Union. These are dedicated Americans who are staying focused on key issues that you don't see in the "mainstream" media or programs like FOX News, allegedly "fair and balanced."

These numbers will grow as the scope of operations of We the People Congress expands with the opening of our new national headquarters. We have very definite plans to activate the hundreds of thousands of Americans in this country who are fed up with a non-responsive servant government and want to participate in getting things done instead of just more "advocacy" and talk. Months have been spent in the planning and execution of this next phase of operations.

Why Does It Have to Be You?

This is the question my brother asked me. "Why can't it be someone else? Your family needs you here." My 75-year old mother cried. All my family live within a few hours of each other here in California. Now I am moving 3000 miles away.

Why me? Our mission is freedom.

Do we simply ignore the call of duty to our Republic because it's inconvenient?

Should I have told Bob Schulz, no, it's too much trouble and it hurts  to leave my family? Should I not do everything I can to make sure this Republic doesn't continue it's slide into a doomed and corrupt democracy because it requires sacrifice on my part?

I submit there are too many people in this country who don't even know the meaning of the word sacrifice. Our Founding Fathers were the moneyed class of the time. They were land owners, merchants and men of means. They weren't being asked to move to a different state,  they were going to declare war against a king. They knew the course upon which they  embarked would change the course of history and they also knew it would not be without pain and enormous personal sacrifice.

As the base's roving reporter,' back on November 13, 1997, I wrote an article which was published in the Western Arrow newspaper for MTMCWA (Military Traffic Management Command Western Area), long before I even knew about the Fed and "new world order" agenda. This article titled Election 88 was to get people thinking about the upcoming  elections. Portions of my article have been circulated throughout the years with the caption The Price They Paid':

"Have you ever wondered what happened to those men who signed the Declaration of  Independence?

"Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned by the British. Two lost their sons in the Revolutionary Army. Five were captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died. Nine of the 56 fought and died from their wounds or the incredible hardships of the  Revolutionary War.

"When these merchants, lawyers, jurists, framers and plantation owners signed the Declaration of Independence, they signed and pledged their fortunes, their honor and the  ultimate sacrifice - their lives."

This was no game for these men of means. America is in the same peril today, only far worse.

In the movie, Braveheart, William Wallace is in a courtyard when Robert the Bruce says to him:

"I respect what you said, but these men have land, castles. It's much to risk."

Wallace replies, "And the common man on the battlefield, does he risk less?"

I am a commoner. I have no great fortune or public fame. But, first and foremost, I am an American and the fire inside me burns to make absolutely every effort I can to not throw away the sacrifices made by those who came before me, whether they were made by the common man or one of means.

For those who died to give me the freedom to write this article and stand up to a tyrannical government. For those valiant freedom fighters today who serve in our armed forces and are willing to die to make sure that you and I will live free as is our God-given right by birth.

My brother's attitude (and I do love him dearly) is all to common today and one of the primary reasons the movement hasn't progressed: lack of total commitment. I have said for many years that the sign of a true patriot is one who is willing to walk out the front door, knowing that they may never return or see their home again. The same course chosen by the colonials so long ago.

"Mom, won't you be lonely?"

This my daughter asked when I visited her the past few days down in LA because I don't know a single person out in Annapolis. I told her this isn't about me. Do you think the colonials at Valley Forge didn't miss their families and were terribly lonely, half staved, without even boots for their frozen feet? Do you think our boys sent off in WWII to places like Anzio and Guadacanal after FDR allowed the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor, weren't lonely? Of course they were. But when you're fighting for your very freedom, personal sacrifice has to be made by all those who cherish it.

My house is very upscale, but in the end, it is just a bunch of walls with "things" inside. I won't  even live in a permanant location for several months; it's the old living out of suitcases routine  for a while. WTPC has to have their national headquarters fairly close to the seat of power: Washington, DC. I hope to submit one or two articles a month for newswithviews.com, but my first obligation from this day on is to WTPC and my responsibilities as Executive Director.

There are many who have simply given up the fight because of past ineffective methods. All politics are local and it is at the local level that hundreds of thousands of Americans can bring the IRS to their knees, stop the onslaught of globalism and correct the problems in areas like judges. But, it takes people willing to make a total commitment.

People should not confuse fear with cowardice

In a few days I will walk away from my home and all that I hold dear for the cause of freedom.  Our cause is just and noble. It is my destiny to take this next step in building a coalition of Americans who will give the time and effort in ways that will stop an out of control government. We must stay the course.

Years ago I wrote an article, The I'm Too Afraid Brigade Has Arrived (http://www.ninehundred.net/~devvy/fear.html). I wrote that article because I still see too many people who are more than willing to talk, but when asked to step up to the plate and stick their neck out like so many of us have and are doing, well, these hotshots are suddenly no where to be found.

They still go play on the weekends, hang out in front of the electronic cesspool (TV) every night and consider calling talk radio "doing their part" to stay this tyrannical government. Many say they are afraid of this government. The first step towards slavery. However, I also maintain that people should not confuse fear with cowardice.

For those who feel as I do, I sincerely hope you will get involved and become a member of  WTPC. For more than thirteen years I have been involved with "taking back America." I have watched the movement stagnate because of lack of commitment, organization and continued blind loyalty to a political party. I have seen the con artists rip off their fellow citizens selling insane and bogus "legal" arguments on the income tax issue. This is not what WTPC is all about. I hope you'll take the time to find out more:

Freedom cannot be attained and retained by observers.

Freedom gained and kept can only be achieved with a warrior class who will stand firm and live the words they speak.

Will you be part of the warrior class or just continue to sit back and watch others make history? When I walk out my front door in a few days, it will be for good. I don't ask for any medals or  special consideration. I am doing what I have to do because it is my destiny, whether I want to or not. My country needs me. Our Republic needs you now.
